Real Bride: Sydney S.

Sydney looks so perfect in her Katie May gown and we are happy to share these photos captured by Adrienne Maples Photography. When Sydney came in to shop for her gown, we tried on many beautiful lace gowns but none made  Sydney light up like the backless beauty of Katie May’s Lanai gown. She chose to wear it in the champagne color with simple beaded straps and Sara Gabriel accessories with champagne stone accents. We are so happy for Nick and Sydney and we hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did. Congratulations!

From the bride:

The University of Kansas, Fall of 2008.

Nick popped the question on December 12th, 2014 on the Country Club Plaza. The Plaza has always been a special place to us because it is where we first lived together. We had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Jack Stack, and walked around the Plaza looking at the beautiful Christmas lights. Nick led me to the Brush Creek Bridge, which is where we always walked to and from the Plaza when we lived at Plaza Point Apartments. I was admiring all the lights and people when I heard Nick calling my name. When I turned to him, he was down on one knee. It was hands down the best moment of my life. I was speechless and have no idea what he said- but I know I said YES! After I had a second to process what had just happened, Nick rushed me to Gram & Dun where he told me we would be grabbing a drink and calling our families to let them know the exciting news. When we walked in the bar to take a seat, I found myself surrounded by our families and closest friends who had flown in from all over the United States to celebrate with us. I was in tears, we celebrated all night, and it was beyond PERFECT!

After almost 2 years of being engaged, Nick and I were both were ecstatic to start our lives together. Kindra Browne, from Simple Elegance Wedding Coordination really made our dreams come true. In our many meetings, I would tell her what I was visualizing and every single detail she brought to life. She knew the perfect amount of pink to pair with our neutral color scheme and gold decorations, she made it possible for Krispy Kreme donuts to be delivered late night to our reception, and I can’t say enough good things about the amazing group of vendors she referred us to – we just felt beyond blessed throughout this entire experience. Nick and I joined Indian Hills Country Club together, and knew from that moment we wanted to share this special place with our family and friends. We had the most perfect weekend ever, and fun memories that will last a lifetime!
