Real Bride: Sheryl K.

Sheryl was one of our amazing brides who traveled to Kansas City for a particular designer: Katie May! And who could blame her?! Katie May’s bare all backs and simplicity perfectly embodied the look that Sheryl had in mind for her sophisticated and elegant City Hall wedding! She brought David with her when she first shopped which spoke to the ease in their relationship. They were so great to work with and he supported Sheryl as she tried on several Katie May gowns. Once she bought the dress, the final look remained a surprise and Sheryl brought her parents in when she tried on HER dress and veil for the first time. Read on to hear more about their story.

Sheryl KongSherylDavid9SherylDavid4SherylDavid10From the bride: David and I dated a long time ago when I was in high school but had broken up and went our separate ways. To me he was always “the one that got away” and so when we made the decision to get back together 10 years later, I knew it was going to be forever. It wasn’t until a little after our 4 year anniversary that he proposed and I was the happiest woman on earth! We complement each other in every way and were on the same page about whether or not we should have a wedding. We originally were going to elope but ultimately decided to have a very intimate ceremony with our closest family and friends. With both of us being from California, we chose San Francisco City Hall to get married for its beautiful architecture and natural lighting. Although we were getting married at City Hall, I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity of wearing a wedding dress. I chose my dress and veil from Altar Bridal and couldn’t have been more pleased! I received so many compliments and it was perfect!
