Real Bride: Kristin S.
Kristin and Harrison enjoyed every moment of their engagement planning their wedding day to best reflect their personalities and love for one another. We are so excited to share these photos; Kristin looked so gorgeous in her classic ballgown by Mikaella Bridal! Keep reading to hear about all the ways they tied their favorite things into their big day- we died when we saw their reception photos!
From the bride: Harrison and I met through mutual friends, and just clicked instantly. Became best friends, and nine months later were engaged in London. From there, the whirlwind planning began. Having a longer engagement allowed us time to really find the perfect venue (Top of the Rock at Table Rock Lake), and let our personalities shine throughout the entire evening.
Some of the areas we found a way to make it special was having an acapella choir perform during the ceremony, Star Wars boutonnieres, Star Wars figures in the cocktail table lanterns, his grooms cake (don’t worry, I included a photo). And the things that were important to me were incorporating stuff from our families and their weddings. I wore the pearls my grandmother wore on her wedding day, and we utilized my parent’s cake topper – and wearing my mom’s veil was just the best (she made it!).
We stole a few moments just for ourselves – during our first look, while doing the unity candle during our ceremony, and a few moments just after the ceremony to appreciate the commitment that we just made to one another, as well as to just enjoy the moment.
There isn’t one thing I would have done differently. September 6th was the perfect day in our books!
