Real Bride: Brooke B.
This is a very special blog post from our sweet bride Brooke who was so delightful throughout the entire gown search and months leading to her wedding day, to an incredible team of vendors that we consider friends, to our very first Real Bride feature from our New Zealand based designer Rue de Seine! We had a hard time narrowing down from the amazing photos captured by A Day to Adore. Congrats to our lovely Brooke and her man BJ!
From the bride: BJ and I met our first year of college together. We were both on the school soccer team and spent many hours traveling to and from games together. We love being active and being outdoors with each other. Our engagement took place while hiking in Yellowstone National Park. It worked out perfectly that someone was at the bottom of the hike to take pictures when he surprised me with the question!
We wanted our wedding to reflect our love of nature, so we included lots of sticks and greenery as accents. Our guest book was a four foot piece of live edge wood that people signed. We ended up making this piece in to a bar table for our new home. I chose the color palette of pale blue and gold to reflect Kansas wheat fields and the blue open skies.
The two most important things to us on our wedding day were to get as many friends and family as possible involved in the ceremony, and to have a super fun dance party. It was the best day of our lives! My favorite moment of the night was dancing to One Direction with BJ, with all of our family and friends surrounding us. We keep wishing that we could relive that day over and over again. Thanks to all of our amazing vendors for making everything perfect!
