Real Bride Blog: Katherine M.

“Classic, elegant and fun” was the feeling our real bride Katherine and her groom Joe were aiming for on their wedding day and ultimately achieved. Described as the “socialite couple” and donned John and Jackie by their friends, the classic style of Jackie was captured by  Katherine perfectly!  The bride is a self described “shopaholic” and exuded elegance in her Kate McDonald gown. And she accessorized with the perfect something borrowed, a elegant ring from her grandmother!  With the fitting comparison of a historic couple, the love of  Katherine and Joe was celebrated in epic style filled with love, friends and family!

From the beautiful bride: How we met: A very vulnerable night when we were both picking up Chipotle solo. I had met him before and tried to avoid conversation but Joe didn’t let me leave without getting my phone number. Joe proposed in September on a Friday night at our house just before friends and family were coming over to “celebrate my birthday.” I was very, very surprised!

Joe and I are a very social couple. We love to entertain, travel, see live music and value the time we have with our friends and family. Our friends call us Jackie and John… They like to say we are “always campaigning.” Classic, elegant and fun was the vibe we wanted for our wedding.

The major things we cared about was making sure we had good music, food and drinks.  Of course, being a shopaholic, I cared most about my dress and after going to countless bridal stores, Altar was the only place that understood my vision. And even better, brought my vision to life. There was a lot to love about our wedding day but even the groom says his favorite part was my dress.
