Real Bride Blog: Jessica
Many of us may not like to admit that our parents typically know best! This was certainly the case for our real bride Jessica and her new husband Chase! After a nudge from both their parents, these two found a perfect match in each other… and that maybe their parents did know best
From the beautiful bride: Well to start, after many years of our parents trying to set us up, I finally took
my now husband’s number from his Dad who happened to pin my brothers Air
Force Wings on him. Then on our family trip to Pennsylvania, for Christmas we
finally talked to each other. Our first date was shortly after the new year, he was
such a gentlemen and still is to this very day, and we have been together ever since!
Chase proposed to me in September of the same year. We took a mini
vacation to Hermann, Missouri where we stayed in a beautiful cottage overlooking
the river. After a great day of wine tasting, tours and a beautiful supper we headed
back to the cottage for some wine and dessert on the balcony. That is when he asked
me to marry him. I wasn’t expecting it at all, and with it being just us and Chase
bended on one knee it was a dream come true!
Our theme was kind of a rustic chic with petal pinks, ivory, and sparkly gold.
Everything came together rather quickly and soon all my ideas were right in front of
me. It was better than I could have imagined. Of course finding the perfect dress was
one thing I was looking forward to the most. And I did that with the help of Altar
Bridal, it was just my 4th dress I tried on ever and I knew I had to have it. So thank
you to the wonderful staff who helped me and made it such an enjoyable day for me.
Our Wedding Day was perfect and very magical. There were so many aspects of the
wedding that we both were looking forward to. Our first look, first dance and first
kiss as husband and wife. We were surrounded by our loving families and friends
that day, my brother, who is an Air Force Pilot even flew in the day of the wedding
right after his daughter, my niece was born. He said he wasn’t going to miss it, and
that ended up being a very emotional time. Chase and I laughed, cried and danced
the night away. That day marked the first day of the rest of our lives as Husband and
Wife. We are forever blessed.
