Real Bride Blog: Hope
A winter wedding just outside of Cabo San Lucas is always an idea we can get behind! This one’s a kick-off-your-shoes kind of affair, with a ceremony on the beach with the bride in a custom gown that beautifully matched the romantic and easy elegance of the day that has us swept off our feet! Get whisked away by our beautiful bride Hope and her romantic Mexican wedding full of little joyful surprises! Elegantly captured by Lucas Photography.
From the beautiful Bride: Graham and I have been together a little over 6 years, and I would say the day after we first met I knew this man was the one! He is the kindest, most generous, and sweetest person I have ever known and most importantly he made me extremely happy.
He proposed on May 24th, 2014 outside of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art a day after his 30th birthday. I was completely shocked, surprised and could not believe it was FINALLY happening! It was the best day of my life (besides our wedding day). We always knew we wanted to start a family; we just took our time, enjoying each other.
I always knew that I wanted to get married on the beach and so we started researching and stumbled across a small boutique hotel outside of Cabo. We were sold and let me tell you it completely exceeded our expectations in every way. About 5 months after we got engaged we sent out our save the date. Like I mentioned earlier, we were eager to start a family and knew it would be something we wanted soon after getting married, it just happened a little sooner than we thought. This family was going to be growing before our original wedding date of May 2015! With some rearranging we were able to move our wedding date to December 17th, 2014.
Altar Bridal was the very first place I went to look for a wedding dress and it could not have been a better experience! Dede was so wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was lucky enough to have met the designer of my dress, which was custom and absolutely fabulous! We are so grateful to Dede and Sarah Seven for making the adjustments that were needed once we found out I was pregnant. My dress was everything I wanted and more. Thank you again to Altar for everything you have done for Graham and I and our soon to be little bundle of joy!
