In the fall, Jason and Robin traveled to Sonoma with another couple. They tasted amazing wines and food all around Sonoma. At J Vineyard, Jason and Robin enjoyed a 5 course lunch in the vineyards Bubble Room. They took a casual tour of the vineyard afterwards. Sitting in a gazebo in the middle of the vineyard was a bottle of bubbly and Jason asked Robin to marry him! It was so romantic! They were surrounded by leaves changing to yellows and reds for fall.
Jason & Robin were married on a beautiful summer day June 8, 2016 at the Chateau de la Cour in Chatelain, France. Robin is a fluent French speaker and works as an art teacher in a French immersion school. Robin & Jason decided they wanted a very intimate wedding with just the two of them in France. The bride and groom have a love for animals and volunteer a lot in Kansas City. The chateau owners kindly let their animals participate in the ceremony. The groomsmen were 2 Jack Russell terriers and the bridesmaids were 2 Shetland ponies. The ceremony was performed in front of a 250 year old cyprus tree in front of the beautiful Chateau de la Cour. The wedding dinner was a decadent 7 course meal at the beautiful restaurant inside Chateau Noirieux with a beautiful view of the Loire Valley. The reception that followed was an intimate affair at the bride’s father’s house in Mission Hills, Kansas.
