From the Bride:
Garrett and I had been engaged for a year and we were so ready to be married! The day of our wedding was cold and rainy, but absolutely perfect. The nerves were strong for both of us as we got ready in our separate suites accompanied by our best friends. The guys played a card game, while us girls spent the morning dancing to a wedding preparation playlist I made. Finally, the ceremony came. As I was walking with my father to meet Garrett at the altar, I do not think we looked at anyone else but each other. Our ceremony was beautiful, as we were surrounded by our family and friends with the rainy day as a backdrop. We said “I Do” and were sent off to take wedding pictures to the sound of jingle bells!
Our overall theme for the wedding was more or less a winter wonderland, and our colors were navy blue and silver. Instead of flowers, we used pinecones for the bouquets and boutonnieres. We also used Christmas ornaments for the centerpieces. My favorite kind of food is breakfast food, and I LOVE donuts, so we served breakfast food for dinner, Krispy Kreme donuts for dessert, and mimosas for drinks.
Our DJ from Sparks Event did a PERFECT job! The music fit the whole event nicely. Our event coordinator from Amadeus Ranch put everyone at ease with how smoothly the whole day went. Our paster, Brad Marvine, performed a beautiful ceremony that we are still getting compliments from today!
Garrett and I celebrated our first moments as a married couple by dancing to “I Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Haley Reinhart. My favorite moment on the dance floor, though, was my dad and I’s first dance. We danced to “Step in the Name of Love” by R. Kelly and had been practicing for weeks. I think everyone was pretty impressed with our dance moves! The night led into a dance party with all of our guests, ending perfectly with “Forever” by Chris Brown. It was a spectacular day for Garrett and I.
