New York Spring Bridal Market
We’ve finally caught up on sleep from NYSBM last weekend, and we are so excited to tell you about it! From trends to must-haves, this showing of the Spring 2017 collections was exactly what we wanted: more, more, MORE!
1.) Sheer. Whether it has lace or not, we are seeing plenty of sheer elements on the upcoming season of wedding gowns. Illusion, or “floating” lace, is still hot on the bridal trends, and so are side cut-outs filled with sheer tulle. We love the modern twist this has on classically clean looks.
2.) High-Low hems. For the brides who are torn between floor-length and tea-length, this trend is for you! Get the best of both worlds and show off your legs with a high front hem and dramatic train on your wedding day – it’s the perfect statement.
3.) Sleeves. That’s right. We’ve seen it last season, and ladies, this trend is here to stay. Sleeves are everywhere! Whether it’s a cover-up for the ceremony, an evening-long commitment, or a matching lace shirt for your groom, expect even more next spring.
1.) Colored Stones. Accessory designers are showing colorful jewels to add to your wedding look. Start planning for your earrings to be your “something blue,” or think of adding a necklace or bracelet to your ensemble that enhances your color palate. There will be plenty of colors to choose from!
2.) Low veils. Many veils are being worn towards the bottom of, or below, the bride’s up-do. This setting allows for the veil to stream down the bride’s back and reduces the amount of tulle shown from the front. Its elegance has us hooked!
3.) Hair chains. Vintage glam has everyone excited! Some pieces scatter shimmer throughout the bride’s hair by laying across the bridal up-do, and others lay on top of the brides head, allowing for bouncy curls to fall around your shoulders.
We can’t wait for our beautiful new gowns to arrive! Keep checking our Instagram for our latest new-in-store gowns!
