Food Drive for a Dress!
The temperature is dropping and the leaves are falling! That means our 3rd annual Food Drive for a Dress is right around the corner. If you haven’t heard of this opportunity, we started this promotion as a way to give back to the community and help a bride buy the dress of her dreams!
Hears how it works:
Starting immediately we will be taking your nominations for a bride who has an amazing love story and deserves a little help out in purchasing her wedding gown. This story can be anything from a long lasting, high school sweethearts kind of story, to a tear-jerker, this couple has fought through thick and thin kind of story. You can even nominate yourself! Submit your sweet love story using our Bride Submission Form. Stories will be due by Friday, October 25th at midnight!
Once we sift through these heartwarming love stories, we will select 3 brides to compete. This is where it gets fun! These three chosen brides will compete against one another to receive $1500 toward the purchase of a wedding gown. The competition is a canned food drive to benefit Harvesters. Each bride will have a bin here in the store with her photo and her story displayed. It will be her job to round up her friends and family to bring in canned goods and the bride with the most donations will win $1500 toward a wedding gown purchase. There will be other opportunities to take part: monetary donations, online voting, and our other brides will get involved as well with adding their donations to the food bins of the bride they want to see win (all while they score a sweet discount on their purchases)!
But first things first! We need stories from you lovely ladies. Contact us with any questions and don’t forget to send us your stories by October 25th! If you have any questions at all give us a ring at 816.926.0555.
We hope you enjoy these photos of our Real Bride Ashley who competed and won our Food Drive for a Dress 2012. She wore Amour by Sarah Seven and looked absolutely stunning at her Los Angeles wedding in her home church. Thank you so much Ashley for being so great to work with.
