Dress of the Week- BLISS 12-01
For our Dress of the Week this week we wanted to feature a simple silhouette that can be customized and accessorized to suit the style of different brides and their weddings. We chose BLISS by Monique Lhuillier’s new silk satin ruched gown because it is such a classic bridal staple. The defined sweetheart neckline angles downward to a slight V-neck in the back which is flattering. The ruching creates an asymmetric waistline which helps emphasize a small waist. First we highlighted the dress on its own with a double strand of pearls. This look is for that simpler bride who wants a figure-flattering silhouette and doesn’t want the dress to be overpowered.
Next we pictured this beautiful BLISS gown with the new Sara Gabriel Bernadette Sash. This sash is of French Netting tied at the waist and paired with an oversized Swarovski filigree brooch. The netting and brooch add a subtle vintage feel to a more modern style of gown. This bride has a great eye for detail and wanted that little something extra that was really going to set her dress of as being uniquely hers.
There are so many ways to personalize your gown from belts and sashes to adding a strap or bolero- even adding length to your train or covered buttons down the back. We like to think the possibilities are endless and love to help each bride create her own look for her day.
