April Trunk Shows

During the majority of April, we will have racks of trunk show dresses for our brides to choose from. This will be a great opportunity to schedule an appointment here at Altar. For those of you who are new to this process, and we are guessing most of you are, a Trunk Show is a special event in which we showcase a designer’s newest collection of gowns. Since we only carry a selection of gowns from each of our designer’s collections in our normal inventory, trunk shows allow brides the opportunity to see and try on gowns that would not ordinarily be at the store. There are also typically incentives for finding your gown during a trunk show- for instance 10% off new orders placed with the featured designer. So if you have been eyeing an Anna Campbell gown and want to see more of what she has to offer or if you are just ready to get started shopping and excited to see what is the latest and greatest, we look forward to sharing the following collections with you!

Astrid & Mercedes: March 31st – April 8th

Carefree and fashion-forward, the Astrid & Mercedes line is inspired by Lea-Ann’s plucky, free-spirited nieces. Sewn by hand of silks and laces, the collection is patterned, cut and draped in their Toronto atelier. A distinctive blend of something old and something new, these gowns are for women who plan to strut their vibrant selves down the aisle and create their own happily ever after.

Anna Campbell: April 21st & 22nd

From humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia a natural love for design, romance and all things that sparkle inspired the dream that is Anna Campbell. A range of opulently hand-beaded headpieces and accessories soon expanded into a collection of hand embellished lace gowns, and from here the Anna Campbell story truly began.

Inspired by the opulence of bygone times, yet influenced by the relaxed elegance of modern weddings, Anna Campbell’s aim is to create breathtakingly beautiful dresses that enhance rather than define a bride’s natural beauty.

Anna Campbell is proud that all dresses continue to be ethically and expertly constructed using traditional techniques in our Melbourne studio, and intricate, shimmering hand-embellishments are similarly finished in-house.
