From the Bride:
How they Met:
Ramon and I met on match.com in February 2014. Coincidentally, we lived less than a mile from each other and had no idea. After a couple days of texting, we went on our first date and have been inseparable ever since. He proposed to me in front of all my family and our friends at a surprise dinner at Blue Moose in February 2017. We see movies often, spend time with our families, make each other laugh every day, and refuse to get off the couch on Sundays.
Our wedding day was filled with all of our favorite people and so much celebrating that I can still feel the love just by thinking of it all. God was the center of our ceremony and fun was the center of our reception. My dad seeing me in my wedding dress for the first time is something I’ll never forget, and seeing Ramon during our first look gave me such a sense of calm. Both were truly ugly crying at its finest. We had guests travel in from all over, and Ramon’s family members were even able to fly in from Jamaica to be there for us which is something that he will treasure forever.
Blue is my favorite color and I loved being able to show that in subtle and also more obvious ways. My accessories were all blue which included my earrings, shoes, and garter. My bridesmaids looked stunning in their royal blue dresses and Ramon’s groomsmen rocked their blue paisley ties. The reception had blue accents with the chairs, napkins, and our cake had blue ribbons and we had blue send-off ribbons as we exited the church.
At the reception, the speeches and toasts made everyone laugh and shockingly made Ramon cry. I, on the other hand had been crying all day. The most unique personal touch is probably how we released our guests to the buffet. Each table had an assigned Christmas song and when that song played, they got to go get their food. I love Christmas and I loved being able to incorporate that into an already perfect day. We took pictures in the photo booth, talked with old friends, and danced the night away. April 28th, 2018 was a dream come true. Finding your soulmate is a dream come true and we are so lucky.
