From the bride: Tim and I met in college at Humphreys, the quintessential campus bar where everybody knows your name. We went from dating our senior year of college, to dating long distance for 3 years, and finally following our dream to move west, to San Francisco! It was a crazy 6 years. Tim and I had a trip planned with my family to celebrate my parents 30th anniversary, as well as my sisters 21st birthday, in Las Vegas last October. He proposed in front of my whole family on our way to dinner in front of the Bellagio Fountains, and surprised me by having his entire family waiting down the street to celebrate with champagne as well!
Out of all the things Tim and I enjoy doing together, being with our friends and family is what we love best. We were most excited to have all of our people that we love the most in the same room for an entire day. That is the dream! Tim, being from Wisconsin, is a huge Green Bay Packers fan; part of his gift to his groomsmen were argyle dress socks with their NFL teams colors and mascots on them. My gift to him was a set of cufflinks made from the original wooden bleacher seats of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI. There was a lot of GO PACK GO chanting through out the night! We also had our cocktails at the bar served in Humphrey’s cups, from the bar where we first met, and where many of our mutual friendships were made. Tim works in social media, so we also had personalized Snapchat geofilters for our guests to use when sharing our day to tag our wedding with. Our goal was to make sure the dance floor was never empty, and Lost Wax definitely made sure that never happened! We danced the night away until the very end of the night!
The whole day could not have been more perfect, but I think our favorite part was taking 10 minutes to ourselves in between pictures and our grand entrance, on the rooftop overlooking the gorgeous KC skyline, and getting to see all of our guests through the skylights down below. It was so great to have that little piece of time alone with each other to take it all in, and to see everyone enjoying themselves.
